Texture Book and DIY crafts

I found this on Pinterest (a much more low-key version…) and decided to make my own for our first 9 hour drive to see dad! Aside from the jeweled stuff on the back cover & the wooden letters for the cover, I was able to scrounge together everything I used to make this in my own craft supplies. I used a hot glue gun to place EVERYTHING, even stickers. And I used hemp to bind it. Originally I had wanted to find some metal clasped rings or something, but I forgot to look at the store. Personally I think hemp sort of ties the whole “homemade look” together.

Luckily these cutouts were just little punch-out things from a scrapbooking set.

Ahh! My favorite page! The picture is upside down! Oh well. The beads were Isaiah’s favorite part too :)

I had to hot glue the edges of some of the pages, if it was exposed cardboard. Didn’t want punky dunk tearing them apart on the drive!
