Help, I'm Leaking!
Yup, in a perfect world, that is what we would like to experience everyday. We, mothers who like to exclusively breastfeed for at least 6 months or more. This is definitely attainable as I am celebrating my 100th day of breastfeeding my second son. It was definitely not all rainbows and unicorns, it was more like sore nipples, cluster feedings and naps-that-I-regretted-because-I-had-a-lot-of-chores-to-do.
I came up (again) with another list which can help you increase your milk supply.
1. water –
This is a fail proof plan. No amount of food can ever replace water or liquid to increase the supply. I drink 1-2 liters a day, it may increase if the weather is hot.
2. Barley –
This is definitely tested! I was originally told by my sister-in-law who breastfed her son for almost two years. And the most accessible barley is the Milo brand. It is cheap and can be bought anywhere. You need to observe your baby after this (the chocolate in Milo) gets in their system as some babies become fidgety afterwards.
3. Moringga (Malunggay or Drumstick Tree) –
If you are in the Philippines, you’re lucky as this can be in arm’s reach. This plant can be found in your backyard or your neighbor’s, in a market or in a grocery. This is usually mixed with chicken soup, called Tinola. Due to high technology, a lot of companies had powderized this and sold it in capsules.
4. Oats –
These are healthier than barley, they contain more protein, fiber, calcium, Vitamin E and more. There was one time, I ate instant oats for breakfast for a whole week. I noticed a significant increase on my milk supply. I read though that whole rolled oats are more nutritious than the instant ones as they are not processed.
5. Clam soup –
This is another ingredient that everyone is not lucky to have. Fortunately, I live in the southern part of the Philippines where sea food is accesible. I bought a kilo of clams and cooked soup, after I drank almost all the soup, I leaked even after I fed my son! I was shocked and appalled that I need to change my shirt. LOL
6. Flaxseed –
Flax seed benefits could help you improve digestion, give you clear skin, lower cholesterol, reduce sugar cravings, balance hormones, fight cancer and promote weight loss… and that’s just the beginning! It is considered one of the galactagogues (this means galactogogue is a substance that promotes lactation in humans and other animals) used in a lactation cookie. Flax seed is high in omega-3 fatty acids, too. So, even if you are not breastfeeding, this is something you can consider adding in your diet.
7. Brewer’s yeast –
While there aren’t enough studies to say for sure why or even if brewer’s yeast actually works to increase the breast milk supply, there also aren’t enough studies to say that it doesn’t work. Some women report that it helps. But, of course, it won’t work for everyone. (http://ift.tt/28EDFva)
This yeast combats fatigue and baby blues as it has protein, iron and B Vitamins. When I ate lactation cookies with brewer’s yeast, this definitely didn’t alter my baby’s mood and I didn’t experience anything negative either.
There are more out there that I haven’t experienced or bought as what I am doing right now works for me. I noticed though that the only time my supply is at its ultimate high is when I am calm and relaxed, to make the story short, you really need to remove stress from your system to make your boobies do its thing. Breathe in and breathe out and do not forget to pray!
Watch out for my new discovery soon, I will surely update you guys. :)

Preview: Carnal Creatures
Natalia Romanski, part-Fae, is Professor Dalton’s favourite student in his Advanced Alchemy unit. When a seduction spell goes wrong, will the good Professor be able to resist the allure of the little fairy on his werewolf sensibilities?
My latest short story, Carnal Creatures, should be releasing on Amazon over the next few days! It’s my longest yet at ~6,500 words, with division into chapters. I definitely gave more background on the characters, fully fleshing out the foreplay.
It starts something like this:
The real turning point, however, was during her first year at Salem’s Academy for Witches and Wizards. Learning about the Homo Androgynes tribes scattered through the world in Introduction to Creatures, Natalia marvelled at their exotic hermaphrodite allure. Elegant and statuesque, with large eyes and full lips set against sharp angular cheekbones. Lush, heavy breasts mixed in with lithe oiled muscles. And those mouth-watering, almost monstrous cocks…
The boys around her scoffed their disdain, making crude dumb jokes to hide their growing unease. And that was when it had hit her. Both laughing and crying little inside, Natalia smiled sweetly as she realized then just how much of Magical history and convention had been written by the absolute fragility of the male ego. By wizards and their anxious preoccupation with the length of their wooden staffs.
All that to say, Natalia really didn’t give a shit.
And ends something like this:
Completely degraded, Natalia let out a keening cry as a spurt of milk gushed out onto the Professor’s desk, her sensitive teats scratching against the rough wood grain. She was so mortified, so humiliated, at the growing arousal she felt in this sinful mix of pain and pleasure, shame and excitement. As the good Professor continued spanking her stinging bum, Natalia writhed and wept, her nipples throbbing in exhilaration as streams of liquid dribbled out of them. Every blow on her cheeks, the back of the thighs, she could feel the vibrations travel to the edge of weeping cunt; so close so close, to her hot needy core…
Why? Because I am both FEMINIST and FILTHY PERVERT! (clap, clap, clap)
Oh, and there is definitely some lactation kink + rough sex going on in here.
Cheers!

Yummy Lactation Cookies.
I wanted to share the recipe for these lactation cookies that was referred from one of my friends. I honestly think they work, because on the days that I don’t drink a lot of water, these cookies are my go-to. It keeps my milk production up! Along with that, I take 2 Fenugreek Herbal Supplement capsules 3-4x a day (shown below, found at Walmart), and taking those will make you smell sweet through your pores. I have researched also to let your baby’s pediatrician know you are taking it, so they won’t think your baby is diabetic since they will also be smelling sweet also.
There was another recipe I tried, which I used Betty Crocker Oatmeal mix, brewers yeast, and flaxseed, but I didn’t like the flavor and how it turned out. I’ve tried the Oatmeal Creme Pies from Debbies, although that didn’t work for me.
On the other hand, with these cookies I made from scratch, it has become my absolute favorite to make! I found it useful to read the reviews, and I read how some people altered some of the ingredients, whether it was the amount they put in of an ingredient or the kind of brands they used. It is totally up to one’s preference.
Above, here are some of the ingredients/ brands that I used to make my cookies, and below, I included the link from where the recipe originated from.
Noel’s Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Lactation Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar (white)
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons water
- 3 tablespoons flax seed meal organic whole ground
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups flour Pillsbury all-purpose
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups oats
- 1 cup chocolate chips (Hershey/Ghirardelli special dark chocolate)
- 4 tablespoons brewer’s yeast
Materials
- Sifter/Mesh spoon
- Bowl
- Electrical handmixer (makes mixing much easier)
- Baking sheet
- Cookie scooper (better than using a spoon, and dough won’t get on your hand)
- Spatula (easy to use to take cookies off the tray)
- Spoon/fork to help mix
-Found at Walmart (for those looking for an affordable one) and works great!-
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Mix the flaxseed meal and water with a spoon/fork, and let sit for 3-5 minutes.
- Using an electric hand mixer, beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, and eggs well.
- Add flaxseed mix and beat well again.
- Sift together flour, brewers yeast, baking soda, and salt onto the butter mix.
- Mix with a fork or spoon, just enough for the powder not to go all over the place when using the electrical hand mixer afterwards.
- Use electrical hand mixer to mix all the ingredients.
- Add in the oats and chips.
- Scoop onto baking sheet, using the cookie scooper.
- Bake for 12 minutes and take it out from the oven.
- Let tray sit for a couple minutes then remove from tray, using a spatula.
Now I have some for myself and I was able to give my friend some too! Yay to breastfeeding.
