Back to school again can be challenging for some of us, especially waking up early. Usually, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday I have directed study, hence, no need to go all the way to campus. Directed study is done online and it involves watching videos, reading research papers, doing online exams or exercises, as well as, answering questionnaires or filling in workbooks. This week, however, instead of having directed study on Friday we had lectures on campus. Lecture days are Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm. So here is how my week looks like:
MONDAY: Directed study – Module 3 Guide, Maternity workbook, Obstetric complications
TUESDAY:
- Introduction to second year
- Introduction to Public Health
- LUNCH
- Anatomy and physiology of the male and female reproductive systems
- Cognitive behavioural therapy
WEDNESDAY: Directed study: Infant feeding, Mastering Anatomy and Physiology practice test at home
THURSDAY:
- Pregnancy labour and birth
- Lactation and breastfeeding
- LUNCH
- Post natal depression
- Maternity scenarios workshop
FRIDAY:
- Immunisation
- Types of Research
- LUNCH
- Epidemiology
- Sociology of the family
Friday night is a movie night with flatmates! First week of lectures is over! Yay
