We use to paint most afternoons as it was great sensory and all the children could manage close to home time. So why not make it theme based. Have students paint a Horton. I found this picture on pinterest and loved it. Use sponges and paint grey then once it dries cut them out into Hortons. Give them eyes and a nose.
