I’ve been seeing this idea online everywhere so I decided to try it out since the Valentine’s Day M&Ms are currently on sale at target, and you can combine that with a manufactures coupon from coupons.com and a target coupon that you print online! If you have the cartwheel app you also save an additional 15% and also an additional 5% if you have the target redcard. Here is where I heard about the deal.
I also found the ribbon and glass jars at the target one spot for a dollar each! Online I was seeing every one else use mason jars, but the ones I have at home are huge and would require more than 2 bags of chocolate per one jar. Even this tiny glass that I purchased almost used a full bag.
I used hot glue to secure the ribbon on the cap. The cap has a crease where it was easy to put the glue without making the ribbon lumpy. Also, each of the 4 types of ribbon is only long enough for two of these small lids. It’s not really worth a dollar if you ask me, but it’s okay since it provided some variety.
I printed the label online, and I had printer label sticky paper that I usually use for printing online postage for ebay selling.
So both bags of chocolate cost $3.00, two glass jars cost $2.00 and the ribbon costs $1.00!
So two of these glass jars you can make for $5.00. I bought a third jar just in case but it doesn’t look like there would be enough chocolate to fill it up.
