Remember a few weeks ago when I made no bake energy balls? Well in a hungry rage this evening I whipped up something quite similar but this time in a bar form. A little differently, this recipe has chia and coconut oil in it, but still stocked full of energy and nutrients!
No Bake Energy Bars
1 cup quick oats
2/3 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
1/2 cup natural peanut butter
1/2 cup chocolate chips (or cacao nibs)
1/3 cup ground flax seeds
1 tbsp ground chia seeds
1 tsp maca powder or raw cacao powder
1/3 cup honey
1 tbsp melted coconut oil
1 tbsp agave nectar
Mix it all together. Spread it evenly in a pan pressing down to set the bars. Cool for 20-30 mins in the fridge before cutting and enjoying!
