Curly hair is all the rage right now. Every girl I know wants to have bouncing beach curls but getting them is almost near to impossible…unless you want to fry your hair with hot tools on a daily basis and waste tons amount of time.
This mixture is an easy way to obtain perfect beach waves in minutes!
What you will need:
-1 cup of warm water
-1 tablespoon of melted coconut oil (Melt in the microwave in 10 second increments)
-1 tablespoon of epsom salt
-1 tablespoon of sea salt
-2 tablespoon of detangler
-2 tablespoons of aloe vera
-Half of a lemon (optional: helps naturally lighten hair)
Directions:
1. Measure out all of your ingredients
2. Add warm water and melted coconut oil into a bowl. Mix well.
3. Add epsom and sea salt.
4. Add lemon juice, detangler, and aloe vera. Mix well. (You might need to heat up the mixture to help dissolve the aloe. Do it in 10 second increments and stir in-between)
5. Pour into a spray bottle and watch your locks twist and curl into perfect beach waves.
For the best results I spray the mixture on only the middle section and ends of my hair and crunch it upward to help the curls form. I try not to spray it on my roots because the coconut oil in the mixture can make your hair look greasy if you spray too much.
Price comparison:
I had all of the ingredients before hand so I did not have to spend any money to start this project. To fill a small water bottle full of this homemade mixture it cost me less than $2 to make after factoring in how much each product cost and dividing it by how much I used.
Organix moroccan sea salt spray is around $7.99 for a 6 fl. oz depending on where you buy it.
