Good morning friends!! Wow! It’s been quite some time since my last blog post! Life has seriously gotten away from me lately. But now things seem to be under a little more control and I have time again to post! Yay!
Now although I have been super busy, I have not been living under a rock. And unless you have been living under said rock, then you would know that hand woven wall hangings are the “in thing” right now in home decor. Unfortunately my talents don’t spill over into weaving {yet!!}. So unless I want to spend over a hundred bucks for something to hang on my wall, then I’d better come up with something fast! And inexpensive. Well luckily for you I have! I hope you enjoy this beauty as much as I do! Oh and let’s not forget that this only cost me around $10 to make! Talk about a score! Read on for full tutorial!
//WHAT YOU NEED//
White Yarn {Michaels}
Fabric Dye {Michaels}
1/2 inch Copper Rod {Home Depot}
Tube Caps x2 {Home Depot}
Tube Straps x2 {Home Depot}
Small Screws
Screw Driver
Scissors
//HOW TO//
First cut strands of yarn about 5 feet long {you will need about 100 strands depending on how thick you want}
Then fold yarn in half and loop around the rod until all strands are in place
Once you have all the yarn you want its time to cut! So cut in any fashion you desire!
Now comes the fun part. Using the dye dip the ends into a bucket and let dry completely
Hang it up and enjoy!
Have a very happy week friends! Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy! xoxo
