Granny Square Blanket- Round 1

Ok yall I love to crochet. I have chosen a granny square blanket for my next peoject.

What do you need?

1 skein of yarn for single color square throw

Or… as many colors as you like.

And the correct hook size.

What I am using:

Double knit Special by Stylecroft

3 different colors.

And a size 4.25 hook

To start off you want to make a loop

Next you want to take your loop and put on your hook. Then chain 5..

Now take your hook and insert it into your first chain to make a U. Then slip stitch to close for a circle.

Now chain 2 and this will count as your first double crochet. You continue to double crochet for 2 more to make a total of 3. Then chain 1 and double crochet 3 times then repeat your chain one and double crochet two more times. You will then chain one and slip stitch into the very top chain of your first chain 2 to complete the round.
