Review | Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail Polish and DIY crafts

This new gel polish has caught my interest for a long time. All the benefits of a gel manicure without the light and kits? Just the color and special top coat. Pretty awesome imaging. So now, I am trying this out and going to share it with you guys!

Where To Find

Wal-Mart

Price

$7.97 each (w/o tax)

(left to right): 210 Pretty Piggy, 310 Shock Wave, 100 Top Coat

Process

2 coats of the color polish then 1 coat of the top coat. Easy enough right?

Results

nails

Pretty Piggy: Streaking. More orange than expected. Minor chipping after 3 days.

Shock Wave: Still some streaking. Top coat took off some of polish. Lasted a few days.

Thoughts

I had almost given up on this polish. I thought “Great. Wasted money but okay.” Then I tried something. I put on three coats of Shock Wave and I lightly added the top coat. This provided an opaque coat and lasting results. Lasted a week with little wear showing. Sadly, I didn’t document the nice manicure of course! I recommend painting the tips of the nails to help prevent chipping and wear.
