Why does superglue not stick to its tube? and DIY crafts

There was one question throughout a majority of my childhood that continually made me question everything around me. Although not scientific as such I have researched it and have finally found an answer:

There is an absence of air in the inside of the tube which the adhesive needs to ‘stick’. The air contains water vapour which if allowed in contact with the glue would make it solid as the molecules would begin to bond together.

As it is sealed in the tube it will not solidify because of the absence of water. This is also why superglue works well on our skin, due to our skin being moist.
