Sesame Noodles and DIY crafts

This recipe comes from Gimme Some Oven.

3.5 stars

Ingredients:

  • Linguine noodles

  • 1/3 cup of soy sauce

  • 1 Clove of garlic

  • 1/4 Teaspoon of ground ginger

  • 1 Tablespoon of red wine vinegar

  • 1/2 Tablespoon of sesame oil

  • 1/2 Teaspoon of vegetable/canola oil

  • 1/2 Cup of green onions

  • 1/4 Cup of almonds

  • 1/4 Cucumber

  1. Cook pasta as usual

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine everything but the green onions, almonds and cucumbers – whisk until combined

  3. Cut the cucumber in slices and the green onions in thin slices as well

  4. When the pasta is ready, drain and stir in the dressing and green onions

  5. Top your pasta with the almonds and cucumbers

This proportion served both my lunch and dinner meals.

I really liked the taste of the dressing and would probably add more red wine vinegar next time. In the original recipe, it said to boil the noodles in a lot of salt, which causes a major sodium taste overload when combined with the dressing. I usually don’t mind my food to be plain, but I think this recipe needs some chicken or scrambled eggs at least.
