Aw, nuts!? and DIY crafts

I mentioned before, my apartment’s complete lack of bathroom storage. I also have an obsession with boxes, containers, displays, etc. Turns out, it’s genetic. Anyway . . . Anything in said obsession categories, that looks like it could possibly contribute to my bathroom storage solution, sings to me more than usual. Like, spot light, choir, and a shirtless Gerard Butler moment. Ok maybe not quite. Damn, who wants to keep reading this now, with the image of a shirtless Gerard Butler in their head? Focus! So I randomly come across this hideous wood-ish dual-tiered tray on one of my thrift trips. I didn’t know what it was, I was so distracted by its yuckiness. I smartly paid $4.99 for it, knowing it was going to be useful despite its looks.

A spritz of spray paint on the handle, a couple coats of “Romantic White” paint on the rest of it, some little silicone feet, and shabam! It’s a nut tray, working double doody – er, duty – looking cute AND adding tidy storage space above my toilet.
