DIY | 3 Simple Handmade Gifts and DIY crafts

I don’t know about you, but time is not something I have a lot of at the moment, in order to curb my DIY cravings I had to come up with a few crafty ideas that are quick and easy.

Tile Coasters

I’m cheating calling this a DIY because all this involves is picking out tile samples that you like. I plumped for matte hexagonal tiles for my coasters and I’m obsessed. Tile samples cost about £1.00 or less each so it’s a really affordable and I can assure you, there is a tile to suite everyone.

Quick Knit Hairband

Again another super simple DIY if you know how to knit. These hairbands make great gifts for young girls, especially this time of year, as they keep your ears toasty. Just cast on 16 stitches and keep knitting until it’s long enough to wrap round your head. Bunch up the ends when you sew them together and voila, excuse my technical description, but you now have a knitted hairband,

Leather Keyring

I find DIY gifts for guys really tricky, I’m not even going to mention the leather wallet I tried to make for my boyfriend, however I was really happy with the Raw Edge Leather Keyring turned out. I can’t wait to give it to Tom for Valentines Day. It’s a pretty self explanatory DIY, just sew a strip of leather (you could substitute for ribbon or fabric) into a loop, making sure the Keyring is within the circle, then sew a line across the top of the Keyring to keep it in place.
