How to Clean Makeup Brushes and DIY crafts

Makeup brushes aren’t cheap so we want to give them the best care that we can so we don’t have to replace them. Also they just don’t work up to par with all that dirt, grime, and germs in there. The last thing you need is to be spreading bacteria all over your face! I’ve tried a lot of different makeup brush cleansing products and lots of DIY recipes, but I always seem to come back to the same one. It’s really quite simple. All you’ll need is:

• Baby shampoo

• Olive oil

• a clean hand towel

• a small plate

Now just pour about a table spoon each of the baby shampoo and olive oil into the centre of the plate and swirl each brush in the mixture then gently rinse the brush under cool water careful not to get the ferrule (the metal piece connecting the handle and bristles) wet and this can cause damage. Then lay the brushes flat on the hand towel to dry. You don’t want to have them standing up to dry because then the water can run down the ferrule and become an issue. For the best results do once ever one to two weeks.

Good luck!
