Priming All Over the Place and DIY crafts

This weekend is going to be totally unsatisfying.

My plan is to prime the raw drywall and bare wood that has not yet been painted.

Charlie is our closet mudder.

I know he's almost finished when he drapes the doorways with plastic and encloses himself with the wet/dry vacuum.

Of course not everything is ready but Charlie has been working on the master bedroom closet and the conservatory closet.

The master closet is almost ready for primer after a wipe-down with a wet sponge.

And while I have the priming brush dirty with paint I might as well give the wall above the paneling in the dining room a coat as well as any of the paneling that is still wood tone.

I know we have to prime these bare surfaces but the finish always looks worse until it actually gets painted with the finish color.

PArt of the paneling is totally painted and the rest needs primer and 2 coats (at least) of white semi-gloss.

So the plan is to spend all day Saturday doing a job that will actually make everything look awful. I hope I can get Charlie to help me.

What chore do you think is a waste of time?
