I adore brightly colored hair. Shimmering highlights tucked away beneath the normal strands, little flyaways coming undone in braids, huge swatches of color artistically splashed against a canvas of natural, a complete take over of color from top to bottom… it’s all lovely to me. I’ve done most colors, from red to pink to blue to green (though that one was a bit unintentional) to purple and most combinations in between. I can go weeks, months even, without thinking of craving color and then one day i’ll get that thought pushed to the forefront of my mind and there I go again, staining my life with color.

Purple was the idea in my head last week, and I couldn’t even exactly tell you why. It’s enough to say the idea of color infused my thoughts a dark lavender sometime during the workweek and by the weekend I was turning towards the sun with color lighting up my strands. I had the idea for this photoset later on, and I’m thankful the Texas weather cooperated nicely to give me clear skies and unobstructed light.

I’ll probably not stay with this color for much longer, but it was lovely to capture the breaking of color in my life again.
