Some cell phone pics of stuff we’ve been fooling around with. Kinda boring but maybe it will give you an idea for your own project.
Coffee sign and gluing the T&G beadboard. Using straight boards, clamps, and a heavy bucket to keep it flat.
Finally made a zero-clearance insert for my table saw. Scrap MDF cut with a jig saw then refined on the disc sander.
Overkill on the clamps. Irwin corner clamps and a Bessey strap clamp pulling my not-so-accurate miters together.
More frames using glue only. No mechanical fasteners holding these together. Wood glue is crazy-strong.
Tongue-and-groove beadboard from a jobsite trash pile. Glued together and onto a piece of 1/8″ hardboard. Stained with some random color from one of our remodels.
Mellissa wants to start hanging some photos, so naturally the first step is spread out all over the family room.
At first the shelves looked brownish red (or redish brown); after a day or two they appeared more grayish/weathered.
Slowly getting the garage cleaned and organized. This is the neatest our workbench has been in a very long time.
Found a cool piece of vertical-grain fir, so Mellissa stained it and we hung some pics of Collin by thin steel wire.
Finished magnet board hanging in the hallway. Another free project done hastily. Next attempt I’ll do a better job.
Close view of some of the pallet wood we’re gonna use for picture frames. We’ll preserve this look with some sort of clearcoat that won’t discolor it.
Grabbed some random photos from the pile and stuck ‘em on with super magnets I had laying ’round the garage.
