Beeswax LipBalm

I have been on a roll today with the homemade beauty items! My lips are always chapped so I decided to make some lip balm. I found an easy recipe for it on the internet (HERE)…Very simple ingredients and I happen to have beeswax that I purchased a long time ago for another project…Here is what I used….

  • containers for lip balm – you can use tubes or pots, or even reused tins, like Altoid’s Minis

  • glass measuring cup

  • small grater

  • yellow beeswax

  • coconut oil

  • vitamin E oil

  • measuring spoons

  • chopstick or something similar for stirring

The only thing I did differently is I did not use the microwave. I put it in a larger mason jar and set it in a pot with water and let it all melt that way.

So lets start this fun project….

I used 2 Tablespoons of coconut oil, 1 tablespoon of grated beeswax, 1/2 teaspoon of vitamin E oil….

Once it was all melted I poured it into an old baby jar I had for candles and let it cool. It doesn’t take long so make sure you pour it into your container pretty quick. There you have it…real simple!!! It even feels good on my lips too, just like the normal lip balm would…just better :)
