DIY love vases and DIY crafts

This is an older project I did while in my funk when we lived in Illinois, but I really like it so why not share.

This is what you will be making if you choose to. I don’t have pictures of the supplies but it’s pretty straight forward.

Step one: buy supplies I decided that I wanted to do red for the letters and go from there. So you will first need four vases. It can be any shape or size you want but remember the bigger it is the longer it’s going to take you to make. You will also need yarn, flowers for the letters, buttons, burlap rope, hot glue gun, hot glue and flowers to put in the vases. The flowers to put inside of them was a little challenging to find just because most of the flowers were big and bulky.

Step two: start roping! This step seriously takes forever!! I was doing two vases a day because my back was starting to hurt from looking down for so long. Anyways you want to start at the top and work your way around. Glue as you go because if you have used a hot glue gun before you know that it drys fast! Make sure to keep the rope tight together so you can’t see any glass. It’s really simple to do just extremely time consuming.

Step three: Start placing your letters. Try to write out the “E” and the “V” with the yarn and buttons before gluing so it turns out descent. Make sure not to use to much glue because you will see if, even if it’s clear!

Step four: Cut flowers to the height you would like them to be and place them in the vases.

Easy as that and you have a new DIY home decor item to be proud of!
