The queer and punk zine J.D.s was founded in Toronto by G.B. Jones in 1985 and co-edited by artist Bruce LaBruce. It quickly rose to prominence due to its provoking manifesto “Don’t Be Gay.” J.D.s ceased publication in 1991 but is considered to be influential for its impact on queercore and the re-emergence of the punk scene and zine production.
