Lining drawers with tea scented paper and DIY crafts

drawer lining Not only is tea a pleasant and revitalising beverage, it can also be used in many a different ways thanks to the properties of its tannin. Spring’s approaching and we’ll soon need to change out of winter clothes. Tea will be our natural anti-moth allied to make drawer liners.

First of all, you’ll need tissue paper of neutral colour – that’s to prevent paper dying from making fabric turn yellow.

Put warm water in a sprayer with a bag of tea. Remove the bag after 3 minutes and add 2 drops of clove essential oil and some more drops of a perfume of your choice. The mix so prepared is very effective for the drawers because the tea tannins keep moths and acarus away, while clove has an anti-mould/anti-spores action. The perfume helps giving your mix a nice fragrance.

Spray the mix on the paper and let it dry, then cut the paper to fit the drawers. These liners should be changed once a year.
